Custom stairwell signs are usually ordered in a pair. A large sign is placed in the stairwell, consisting of six inch tactile lettering showing the floor number on the top with Braille placed at the bottom. A smaller sign with re-entry and exit information is placed outside the door leading to the stairwell. These custom signs are ADA compliant using Grade 2 Braille and tactile lettering 1/32 inch thick.
